Job Brief
As an AOC Plans Guidance Apportionment and Targeting Officer, you will be responsible for managing the operations of essential communication, detection, and weapon systems integral to controlling air, ground, and naval operations. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in military operations, emergency response coordination, and technical system management. Key skills include strategic planning, crisis management, and expertise in surveillance and targeting systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage critical communication links between air, naval, and ground forces to ensure seamless operational integration.
- Formulate and implement emergency plans for natural disasters and wartime scenarios, ensuring preparedness and responsiveness.
- Coordinate emergency response teams and agencies to execute efficient incident management during crises.
- Evaluate command center information to assess the need for high-level military and government reporting.
- Oversee the operation of surveillance and detection systems to enhance situational awareness and threat identification.
- Provide technical information and advice on capabilities, limitations, and operational readiness of military systems.
- Direct the operation of weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems to ensure precision and effectiveness in mission execution.
- Conduct regular training and simulations to maintain operational proficiency and readiness of personnel and systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Military Science, Defense Studies, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in military operations, plans development, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of communication, detection, and weapons systems used in military operations.
- Proficiency in crisis management, emergency response coordination, and operational planning.
- Experience with surveillance and targeting systems, including relevant software and hardware.
- Ability to work collaboratively in high-pressure environments and make quick decisions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Relevant military certifications and training are highly desirable.
