Job Brief
The AOC Operations Air Mobility / Logistics Chief plays a critical role in managing the operational efficiency of communications, detection, and weapons systems essential for seamless air, ground, and naval operations. This position requires extensive experience in military logistics and operations, with a focus on formulating emergency plans for various scenarios and ensuring high-level military and government reporting accuracy. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and a proactive approach to managing complex systems and teams.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation of communications links between air, naval, and ground forces to ensure effective coordination and mission success.
- Develop and implement comprehensive emergency plans for natural disasters and wartime scenarios, ensuring readiness and rapid response.
- Coordinate emergency response teams and agencies to facilitate effective crisis management and disaster response operations.
- Evaluate command center information to assess operational needs and prepare high-level military and government reports.
- Manage the operation of surveillance and detection systems to enhance situational awareness and operational effectiveness.
- Provide technical information and advice on capabilities, operational readiness, and system performance to senior leadership.
- Direct the operation of weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems to support mission objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all operational protocols and regulations while promoting a culture of safety and accountability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in military logistics and operations, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of military communication systems, surveillance technologies, and weapons systems.
- Proven ability to develop and implement emergency response plans and coordinate multi-agency operations.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills with a focus on operational efficiency.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
- Relevant certifications in logistics or military operations management are a plus.
- Willingness to work in high-pressure environments and adapt to rapidly changing situations.
