As an Animal Cruelty Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations into reports of animal mistreatment, neglect, and abuse. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive investigations into allegations of animal cruelty, neglect, and abandonment.
- Capture and handle animals safely for assessment and evidence collection.
- Document findings and prepare detailed reports for legal proceedings.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and animal welfare organizations to enforce animal protection laws.
- Educate the public about animal welfare and responsible pet ownership.
- Provide testimony in court as a witness for animal cruelty cases.
- Maintain accurate records of investigations and ongoing cases.
- Assist in the rescue and rehabilitation of abused or neglected animals.
Requirements
- Proven experience in animal care, law enforcement, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of animal welfare laws and ethical treatment of animals.
- Exceptional observational and investigative skills.
- Ability to handle animals safely and humanely in various situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Certification in animal control or related training is preferred.
