Job Brief
As an Angle Dozer Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of heavy construction equipment, including bulldozers and motor graders, to excavate, move, and grade earth, as well as assist in the erection of structures and pavement installation. This role requires proficiency in equipment operation, a keen understanding of site safety protocols, and the ability to perform routine maintenance and repairs. Ideal candidates will possess a strong background in construction operations and demonstrate excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Operate angle dozers and other heavy machinery to excavate, grade, and move earth for construction projects.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and construction teams to determine project requirements and timelines.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Utilize precise measurements and leveling techniques to ensure accurate grading and earth moving.
- Assist in the setup and dismantling of temporary structures as needed during construction activities.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance, and any incidents that occur on site.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge of equipment operation and safety practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training in heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Proven experience operating bulldozers, motor graders, and other heavy construction equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and certification in heavy equipment operation.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction environments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and site plans effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks as required.
- Basic mechanical skills for equipment troubleshooting and repair.
