- Utilize appropriate safety and sanitation practices to maintain a sterile work environment.
- Collaborate with funeral directors and other professionals to plan and execute memorial services.
- Provide compassionate support to grieving families, addressing their concerns regarding body preparation.
- Stay updated on advancements in embalming techniques and legal requirements in the field.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure or certification in embalming and funeral service.
- Completion of an accredited embalming program, with a strong foundation in anatomy and physiology.
- Proven experience as an embalmer, preferably in a funeral home or mortuary setting.
- Knowledge of embalming chemicals, equipment, and techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on empathetic client interactions.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
