Responsibilities

- Repair damaged garments by sewing, patching, and reinforcing seams.
- Fit garments on clients, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal fit and comfort.
- Select appropriate fabrics, threads, and materials to enhance garment quality.
- Maintain sewing equipment and tools to ensure they are in excellent working condition.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their style preferences and alteration requirements.
- Stay updated on current fashion trends and sewing techniques to provide innovative solutions.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Alterations Sewer or similar role in the fashion industry.
- Exceptional sewing skills, including knowledge of various stitching techniques and fabric types.
- Ability to operate industrial sewing machines and hand tools effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for aesthetics in garment construction.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and understand their needs.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification in tailoring or fashion design is a plus.
