Job Brief
As an Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, programming, maintenance, and repair of security and fire alarm systems. This role requires a strong understanding of alarm systems and wiring, as well as compliance with relevant industry codes and regulations. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with alarm equipment and possess troubleshooting skills to ensure the integrity and functionality of security systems.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure security and fire alarm systems in residential and commercial properties.
- Program alarm systems according to client specifications and industry standards.
- Perform regular maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance of alarm systems.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions in alarm wiring and equipment efficiently.
- Ensure all installations comply with local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service and technical support to clients.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to alarm systems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications preferred.
- Proven experience as an Alarm Technician or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of security and fire alarm systems, including wiring and programming.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with local and national electrical and fire codes.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
