Job Brief

As an Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, programming, maintenance, and repair of security and fire alarm systems. This role requires a strong understanding of alarm systems and wiring, as well as compliance with relevant industry codes and regulations. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with alarm equipment and possess troubleshooting skills to ensure the integrity and functionality of security systems.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure security and fire alarm systems in residential and commercial properties.
  • Program alarm systems according to client specifications and industry standards.
  • Perform regular maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance of alarm systems.
  • Diagnose and repair malfunctions in alarm wiring and equipment efficiently.
  • Ensure all installations comply with local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and technical support to clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to alarm systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Alarm Technician or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of security and fire alarm systems, including wiring and programming.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with local and national electrical and fire codes.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
