Job Brief
As an Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, adjusting, repairing, and overhauling aircraft engines and assemblies, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on airframe and power plant systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections to ensure aircraft safety and compliance.
- Overhaul aircraft engines and related assemblies, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications.
- Utilize specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections in compliance with FAA regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve efficient workflow and timely aircraft availability.
- Stay current with industry trends and updates in aviation technology and safety standards.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior mechanics and apprentices as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in aviation maintenance technology is preferred.
- Valid Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
- Proven experience in aircraft maintenance, repair, or overhaul with a focus on airframe and power plant systems.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems as they relate to aircraft.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting mechanical issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
