Job Brief
The Aircraft Fuselage Framer is responsible for the assembly, fitting, fastening, and installation of critical components in aircraft and space vehicles, including fuselage, wings, bulkheads, and stabilizers. Responsibilities
- Assemble and install aircraft fuselage components, ensuring precision and structural integrity.
- Fit, fasten, and align parts such as wings, tail sections, and bulkheads according to engineering specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform assembly tasks.
- Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to guide assembly processes.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Document assembly processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in aerospace technology or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in aircraft assembly or similar roles within the aerospace industry.
- Strong knowledge of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment with strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., FAA Airframe and Powerplant license) are a plus.
