Job Brief
The Airborne Mission Systems role is critical for ensuring the effective execution of combat, reconnaissance, transport, and search and rescue missions. Professionals in this role will be responsible for operating advanced aircraft communications and detection systems, performing vital preflight, in-flight, and postflight inspections, and maintaining onboard equipment. A strong understanding of aircraft weapons, defensive systems, and in-flight refueling operations is essential, alongside the ability to execute emergency procedures effectively.
Responsibilities
- Operate aircraft communications and detection equipment to support mission objectives.
- Establish satellite linkages and conduct jamming operations against enemy communications.
- Perform thorough preflight, in-flight, and postflight inspections of onboard systems and equipment.
- Maintain and operate aircraft weapons and defensive systems to ensure mission readiness.
- Execute in-flight refueling operations to support extended missions.
- Implement aircraft safety and emergency procedures to ensure crew and mission safety.
- Compute and verify passenger, cargo, fuel, and special equipment weight and balance data.
- Conduct cargo and personnel drops in compliance with operational guidelines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in airborne mission operations or a related field.
- Strong technical skills in aircraft systems, communications, and detection technologies.
- Certification in aircraft operation and safety protocols is preferred.
- Familiarity with advanced weapons systems and defensive strategies.
- Ability to perform under pressure and manage emergency situations effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration within a team environment.
