Job Brief
The Adobe Layer Helper supports skilled artisans such as brickmasons, blockmasons, stonemasons, and tile and marble setters by assisting with essential tasks that require less specialized skills. This role involves supplying materials, holding tools, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist skilled masons in the preparation and execution of masonry tasks.
- Supply, hold, and manage tools and materials as directed by lead masons.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment.
- Support the setup and dismantling of scaffolding and other temporary structures.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and workflow.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a construction environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and construction equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Knowledge of safety practices in construction settings.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
