Job Brief

The Absorption and Adsorption Engineer will be responsible for designing and optimizing chemical plant equipment and developing innovative processes for the production of chemicals and products such as gasoline, synthetic rubber, plastics, detergents, cement, and paper. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in chemistry, physics, and engineering principles, along with experience in process design and equipment specification. Key skills include analytical problem-solving, proficiency in simulation software, and a deep understanding of mass transfer operations.

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize separation processes involving absorption and adsorption techniques.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and process evaluations to enhance production efficiency.
  • Develop and implement process flow diagrams and equipment specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies into existing systems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot operational issues to ensure optimal plant performance.
  • Conduct experiments and simulations to validate process designs and performance metrics.
  • Prepare technical reports and documentation for process improvements and compliance.
  • Stay updated with advancements in chemical engineering and separation technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in absorption and adsorption process design within a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mass transfer principles and separation technologies.
  • Familiarity with chemical process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment.
  • Professional engineering license (PE) or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in chemical processing.
