If PeopleShare offers you a collections position for an HVAC company with orange and blue trucks—say no.
I came in optimistic because Madison made the job sound like a great fit. However, after the first few weeks, she won’t keep in touch. My issue with her—she does her job – but the company has a high turnover for a reason and I’m sure she knows that. In just the past two months, five people left (including myself), and I know for a fact that at least three quit due to a passive-aggressive, micromanaging manager. The Newark PeopleShare team is well aware of this but does nothing to address complaints. If you leave, they replace you the next day. Of course they will not be transparent to the next person they need to make money.
I actually loved the company atmosphere, and the job itself is easy—but the collections department’s management is toxic. My first week on the team, people were already warning me about their manager and the unhealthy work environment. Unless leadership changes, I wouldn’t recommend this role to anyone.
If they bring in a new manager or clean up how employees are treated, it might be worth considering. But until then? Hard pass.
