Job Brief

As an Emergency Medical Service Rotary Wing Pilot, you will be responsible for piloting and navigating helicopter flights for emergency medical responses, ensuring the safe and timely transport of patients to medical facilities. Responsibilities

  • Operate and navigate rotary wing aircraft during emergency medical transport missions.
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and safety protocols.
  • Conduct pre-flight inspections and assess aircraft readiness for flight operations.
  • Coordinate with medical staff and ground teams to facilitate efficient patient transport.
  • Monitor weather conditions and adjust flight plans as necessary to ensure safety.
  • Maintain accurate flight logs and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing training and skill development to enhance flight proficiency.

Requirements

  • Valid Commercial Pilot certificate with a rotary wing endorsement.
  • Minimum flight hours as required by FAA regulations, with specific experience in emergency medical services preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of aviation safety regulations and emergency response protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with medical personnel.
  • Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Current certifications in CPR and first aid; additional medical training is a plus.
