Job Brief
The Candy Puller is responsible for setting up and operating equipment used in the mixing and blending of ingredients essential for candy manufacturing. This role requires proficiency in food production processes, attention to detail, and the ability to adhere to stringent safety and quality standards. Ideal candidates will possess experience in food manufacturing environments and demonstrate strong technical skills in operating blending machinery.
Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate mixing and blending equipment to ensure optimal production of candy.
- Monitor the blending process, adjusting equipment settings to achieve desired texture and consistency.
- Conduct quality checks on ingredients and final products to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment in accordance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and timelines efficiently.
- Document production processes accurately, including ingredient measurements and equipment settings.
- Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, performing basic maintenance as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in food processing is a plus.
- Proven experience in a food manufacturing role, preferably in candy or confectionery production.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Ability to operate and maintain blending machinery effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating production metrics.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
