Job Brief
The Targeting Acquisition Officer is a critical role responsible for managing personnel and weapons operations to effectively neutralize enemy positions, aircraft, and vessels. This position requires extensive experience in planning, targeting, and coordinating the tactical deployment of field artillery and air defense artillery missile systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in fire control communications systems, and a thorough understanding of nuclear munitions security and maintenance protocols.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute targeting strategies for the tactical deployment of field artillery and missile systems.
- Coordinate operations involving air defense artillery units to ensure mission success.
- Direct the establishment and maintenance of fire control communications systems.
- Oversee the targeting and launching of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs).
- Manage the storage, handling, and security of nuclear munitions and components.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and security protocols at weapons storage and launch facilities.
- Supervise maintenance activities for weapons systems to ensure operational readiness.
- Conduct training and development programs for personnel involved in targeting operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Military Science, Defense Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in military operations with a focus on targeting and weapon systems.
- Proven expertise in field artillery and air defense systems.
- Strong understanding of fire control communications technology.
- Experience managing nuclear munitions in compliance with safety and security standards.
- Outstanding leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions in high-stakes environments.
- Certifications in military operations and weapon systems management are preferred.
