Job Brief

The Scale Attendant plays a crucial role in accurately weighing, measuring, and checking materials, supplies, and equipment to maintain precise records. Ideal candidates will possess a foundational understanding of weight measurement processes, as well as the ability to communicate effectively and maintain records with high accuracy. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Weigh and measure materials, supplies, and equipment to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Collect and maintain samples of products or materials for quality assurance.
  • Record measurements and relevant information in a systematic manner.
  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols during weighing processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve efficiency in material handling.
  • Conduct regular checks and maintenance of weighing equipment to ensure accuracy.
  • Generate reports based on collected data for management review.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Scale Attendant or in a similar clerical role.
  • Familiarity with weighing and measuring equipment and software.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in data entry and record-keeping practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
