Job Brief
As an Auto Body Painter, you will be responsible for applying high-quality finishes to a wide variety of products, including automobiles, using various coating techniques. You will set up and operate spraying and rolling machines, ensuring a precise and flawless application of paints, lacquers, and varnishes. The ideal candidate should possess experience in auto body repair facilities, a keen eye for detail, and proficiency in using painting equipment and tools to meet industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking areas to ensure optimal finish quality.
- Set up and operate spray guns and other painting equipment to apply coatings effectively.
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired results, following specifications and color codes.
- Inspect painted surfaces for imperfections and perform touch-ups as necessary.
- Maintain painting equipment to ensure proper functionality and cleanliness.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations while handling hazardous materials and chemicals.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely project completion and quality assurance.
- Stay updated on the latest painting techniques and materials in the auto body industry.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Auto Body Painter or similar role in the automotive repair industry.
- Familiarity with painting equipment, tools, and techniques.
- Knowledge of various paint types, finishes, and application methods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and color codes.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Certification in auto body repair or painting preferred.
