Atlantic Group was remarkable. The movers arrived in Charlotte two days early without notice. As they drove in the first day, they ran over my neighbor’s sprinkler. The second day, they ran over my mailbox. At delivery, Atlantic Group movers held my items hostage. The movers hired by Atlantic Group took things off the truck and placed them in my driveway. When it began to rain, they demanded an additional tip to continue moving. After loading all my items, Atlantic demanded 70% of fee at pickup, despite the contract with Interstate (who subbed the work out to Atlantic) being 50%. Atlantic Group destroyed many many pieces of furniture. They destroyed my refrigerator. Multiple frames. Atlantic Group ruined the finish on multiple pieces of furniture. They kicked a hole in one of my shelves. They destroyed a computer. They mis-assembled furniture. They destroyed my daughter’s bed. She had to sleep without a bedframe until I bought a new one. Atlantic Group lost half of a treadmill. They lost a dresser. I tried working with Sheba in claims (who may or may not work for Atlantic Group). Despite promising to reimburse me for parts of my cost, Atlantic did not do so. At drop-off, the ramp on the delivery truck did not work. The Atlantic Group representative on site did not speak English, only Russian. Edit – The movers lost signed Liverpool swag, including scarves and a little teddy bear Steven Gerrard signed about a decade ago. Terrible. Just terrible. I find a year later that I cannot find the crucifixes that were to have been delivered either. Oh goodness gracious. Run, don’t walk away from these guys.

If I could give “no stars” I would! We contracted through Interstate Moving who subcontracted to Atlantic. We have had many military style moves over the years and this is the absolute worst!! We contracted for a whole house move from Colorado to Florida. We discussed twice with Interstate both via Zoom and Phone the amount and type of items being moved. Atlantic showed up at 2 pm with only two people to start packing. We started complaining and finally they brought two more people to pack the kitchen. The two people departed upon completion of the kitchen. The other two left at 11 pm and returned the next day at 8 am. They said they would finish on the second day. Ultimately when it was clear they were going to be all night they called in one more person around 3 pm. They started loading the truck and held many items back. They were working in the dark with no lights. The truck had no lift gate so all items had to be lifted by hand. This resulted in very poor packing and poor use of space. By the time they said the truck was full many of our large items were still sitting in garage. By 11 pm on the second night they said they couldn’t get any more in. On the Florida end when they opened the truck the heavy leather reclining chair came falling out from the top and hit the ground and broke the base. The large big screen TV had been the last thing put in and they were trying to force the door shut to keep things from falling out. We had extensive furniture damage and items were haphazardly thrown into boxes. Most of the boxes were the large packing boxes and most weight at least 100 lbs. We ultimately had to pay additional cost for a second shipment of the items left behind. Atlantic was absolutely terrible. The packing list was illegible. Many boxes had numbers and then had items inside with numbers also on them. There was no valid count or documentation. There was no way to review the inventory on the receiving end. A set of 150 dumbbells magically disappeared between being carried out of the house and arrival in Florida. We have not filed our claim yet, but are confident that Atlantic will give us a very hard time. Customer beware!!

I had an excellent experience with Atlantic Group! They were efficient, understanding, and very professional with the packing process. Max was very thorough and really made sure that I felt like I was taken care of. I would definitely recommend his help with any long term moving needs!
