Atlantic Group was remarkable. The movers arrived in Charlotte two days early without notice. As they drove in the first day, they ran over my neighbor’s sprinkler. The second day, they ran over my mailbox.
At delivery, Atlantic Group movers held my items hostage. The movers hired by Atlantic Group took things off the truck and placed them in my driveway. When it began to rain, they demanded an additional tip to continue moving.
After loading all my items, Atlantic demanded 70% of fee at pickup, despite the contract with Interstate (who subbed the work out to Atlantic) being 50%.
Atlantic Group destroyed many many pieces of furniture. They destroyed my refrigerator. Multiple frames. Atlantic Group ruined the finish on multiple pieces of furniture. They kicked a hole in one of my shelves. They destroyed a computer. They mis-assembled furniture. They destroyed my daughter’s bed. She had to sleep without a bedframe until I bought a new one.
Atlantic Group lost half of a treadmill. They lost a dresser. I tried working with Sheba in claims (who may or may not work for Atlantic Group). Despite promising to reimburse me for parts of my cost, Atlantic did not do so.
At drop-off, the ramp on the delivery truck did not work. The Atlantic Group representative on site did not speak English, only Russian.
Edit – The movers lost signed Liverpool swag, including scarves and a little teddy bear Steven Gerrard signed about a decade ago. Terrible. Just terrible. I find a year later that I cannot find the crucifixes that were to have been delivered either. Oh goodness gracious.
Run, don’t walk away from these guys.
