I support all these one star reviews. If you want to find work through The Creative Store, just don’t. Try an organisation which has a far higher rating. I am looking at my email inbox and I can see I’ve applied for at least two roles per year through this company for the last ten years. What they seem to do is “register” creative Kiwis on their books, they do nothing to actually match people with work. How can we tell? Look at their permanent job listings – this indicates they rarely have fresh work coming through. They just like to take candidates’ data and sit on it in case they can sell it. Why just overnight, I’ve put through yet another cover letter for a position, send it to Ginnaya – and Ginnaya didn’t even respond. Instead, some other staffer copy-pasted a generic, thoughtless, impersonal response – without even having read my application. Creative people – you deserve better than being treated like this.

I’ve been freelancing with The Creative Store for over 2 years now and can highly recommend them to anyone on the lookout for a responsive and reliable digital recruitment agency. The team are awesome to work with and have consistently gone out of their way to provide me work with some of the leading design agencies in Auckland. I’ve always found them friendly and professional and have come to rely on their regular job leads and quick response times to any of my questions. If you’re looking for a new job or thinking of trying out a new recruitment agency, I’d strongly suggest giving the guys at TCS a call! 🙂

I am a senior in Digital Media and had an interview with them before leaving Canada and was told they loved my profile and to pop in to introduce myself and say hi when I arrive in New Zealand. So I did and when I showed up I was welcomed as a very weird person who just shows up and “what do you want” attitude so I left very confused. Couple months later I was sent many request for freelance but upon answering only one time they answer me back. I went to a meeting with potential client and answer back to the agency to tell them how it went. Never have I receive any news form the agency either positive or negative or any follow up what so ever. I feel like they just send emails fishing for anyone but actually don’t care about the relationship around that. I told them to remove me from their email list as I dont really have time to spare, other placement agencies in Auckland have way better service. ***Update*** After the answer I’m seeing from the Owner of the Creative Store, I am more than convinced that they are avoiding their internal issues with relation to their customer service as they are taking no responsibility as how this company have welcomed me (and other people looking at the reviews) and acted with me. They should definitely read my review twice. I found a role very easily in New Zealand once I stopped relying on them. On that, i’m getting back to work.
