Job Brief
The Water Pump Installer is responsible for assembling, installing, altering, and repairing pipelines and pipe systems that transport water, steam, air, or other liquids and gases. This role requires a skilled professional with experience in installing heating and cooling equipment, as well as mechanical control systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and familiarity with industry-standard practices to ensure optimal functionality of water systems.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and install various types of water pumps and related equipment.
- Alter and repair existing pipelines or pipe systems to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Inspect and test systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety regulations.
- Install and maintain heating and cooling systems, including mechanical control systems.
- Collaborate with engineers and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.
- Document installation and maintenance procedures for future reference.
- Provide customer support and address any inquiries related to system functionality.
- Adhere to industry codes and safety standards during all installations and repairs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in plumbing or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a water pump installer or similar role in plumbing or HVAC systems.
- Strong knowledge of water pump systems, piping, and installation techniques.
- Familiarity with mechanical and electrical concepts related to pump systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
