Job Brief
As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality ultrasonic recordings of internal organs to assist physicians in diagnosing and monitoring patient conditions. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients to capture images of internal organs and structures.
- Utilize advanced ultrasound technology and techniques to produce high-resolution images for physician analysis.
- Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
- Analyze ultrasound images, identifying abnormalities and providing preliminary findings to physicians.
- Document patient history and examination results accurately in medical records.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and provide comfort during examinations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop patient treatment plans based on ultrasound findings.
- Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and best practices within the field.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or higher in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
- Current certification from a recognized body, such as the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and performing a variety of ultrasound examinations.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and pathology as related to ultrasound imaging.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills to ensure accurate imaging results.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification is preferred.
