Job Brief

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
  • Analyze ultrasound images, identifying abnormalities and providing preliminary findings to physicians.
  • Document patient history and examination results accurately in medical records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and provide comfort during examinations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop patient treatment plans based on ultrasound findings.
  • Stay updated on advancements in ultrasound technology and best practices within the field.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
  • Current certification from a recognized body, such as the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and performing a variety of ultrasound examinations.
  • Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and pathology as related to ultrasound imaging.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills to ensure accurate imaging results.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification is preferred.
