As a Travel Consultant, you will be responsible for planning and selling transportation and accommodations tailored to customers’ needs. This role requires expertise in determining optimal travel destinations, modes of transportation, travel dates, and accommodations, ensuring a seamless travel experience. Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their travel preferences and requirements.
- Plan and sell transportation, accommodations, and travel packages.
- Research and recommend destinations, activities, and itineraries based on client interests.
- Provide accurate pricing information and assist clients in making travel arrangements.
- Coordinate and book flights, hotels, and other travel-related services.
- Assist clients in resolving travel-related issues or emergencies.
- Stay updated on travel trends, regulations, and emerging destinations.
- Maintain strong relationships with travel suppliers to secure best options for clients.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Travel Consultant or in a related customer service role.
- Excellent knowledge of travel industry trends and regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple bookings.
- Proficiency in travel booking software and reservation systems.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- High school diploma required; a degree in hospitality or travel management is preferred.
- Certification from a recognized travel industry association is a plus.
