Job Brief
The Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (TUAV) Operations Technician plays a critical role in supporting military operations through the maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of unmanned aerial systems. Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor Tactical Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (TUAV) during missions to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct pre-flight checks and inspections on TUAV systems and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on TUAV components, including avionics, propulsion, and communication systems.
- Collaborate with tactical teams to plan and execute flight operations in support of military objectives.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with TUAV systems and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and flight logs.
- Train and mentor junior technicians and operators on TUAV systems and procedures.
- Adhere to safety regulations and operational protocols during all flight operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; advanced technical education in aviation or electronics preferred.
- Proven experience as a TUAV technician or in a related field with hands-on operational experience.
- Strong understanding of UAV systems, including control systems, navigation, and telemetry.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electronic and mechanical systems.
- Certification in UAV operations or related military qualifications is highly desirable.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing environments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel and work in various outdoor environments as required.
