Job Brief
As a Swaging Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and tending forging machines to taper, shape, or form metal or plastic parts. Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate swaging machines according to production specifications and engineering drawings.
- Operate swaging machines to shape metal or plastic components with precision.
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure adherence to product specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of swaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Document production processes and report on machine performance metrics.
- Collaborate with team members to improve manufacturing processes and efficiency.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining or manufacturing is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Swaging Machine Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of forging and swaging processes, including machine setup and operation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and inspection techniques.
- Proficient in the use of measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and in a fast-paced environment.
