Job Brief
The Stockroom Attendant is responsible for efficiently managing inventory by verifying and maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments. Responsibilities
- Verify and record incoming merchandise and materials to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare items for shipment, including packing and labeling products for transport.
- Coordinate the transportation of products to ensure timely delivery to clients or departments.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist in stock audits and cycle counts.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate with management regarding restocking needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in the stockroom.
- Assist in organizing the stockroom for efficient retrieval and inventory management.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline inventory processes and resolve discrepancies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in inventory management is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Stockroom Attendant or similar role in a warehouse environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and software.
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks as required.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and reporting purposes.
- Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in a stockroom setting.
