Job Brief

As a Stage Manager, you will oversee the organization and execution of stage, television, radio, video, or film productions. You will play a pivotal role in the creative decision-making process, including script interpretation, casting, set design, sound, special effects, and choreography. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in production management, and a passion for delivering exceptional entertainment experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all production activities, ensuring seamless collaboration between directors, cast, and crew.
  • Manage rehearsal schedules, ensuring efficient use of time and resources during pre-production and live events.
  • Supervise and execute set design, ensuring alignment with the creative vision and technical requirements.
  • Implement sound and lighting design, collaborating with engineers to enhance audience experience.
  • Oversee special effects and choreography, ensuring artistic integrity and safety on stage.
  • Maintain clear communication with all departments, addressing any issues that arise promptly and effectively.
  • Conduct post-production evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices for future projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and regulations throughout all phases of production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Theater, Film Production, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Stage Manager or in a similar production role within the entertainment industry.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in production software and technologies relevant to stage and film management.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills to effectively manage diverse teams.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required by production schedules.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in live performance settings.
