Job Brief
As a Ski Coach, you will be responsible for instructing and coaching individuals or groups in skiing fundamentals, focusing on skills development for competitive performance. Your expertise will include demonstrating advanced skiing techniques, evaluating athlete strengths and weaknesses, and creating tailored training programs to enhance technique and overall performance. Responsibilities
- Instruct and coach athletes in skiing techniques to improve performance and competitiveness.
- Design and implement training plans tailored to individual athlete needs and goals.
- Evaluate athletes’ strengths and weaknesses to identify areas for improvement.
- Demonstrate proper techniques and methods for skiing, including safety practices.
- Provide constructive feedback and conduct performance assessments during training sessions.
- Organize and lead skill development workshops and competitive events.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of skiing trends, techniques, and competition regulations.
- Foster a positive and motivating training environment to encourage athlete development.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a ski coach, instructor, or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of skiing techniques, competition rules, and safety standards.
- Certification in coaching and/or skiing instruction from a recognized organization.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with athletes.
- Ability to assess athlete performance and implement improvement strategies.
- First aid and CPR certification preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays during the ski season.
