Job Brief
As a Sheet Metal Roofer, you will be responsible for covering roofs of various structures with materials such as shingles, slate, asphalt, aluminum, and wood. Responsibilities
- Install and repair roofs using sheet metal, shingles, slate, asphalt, and other materials
- Measure and cut roofing materials to fit specific dimensions
- Apply sealants, insulation, and waterproofing materials to roofs and walls
- Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on existing roofs
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
- Utilize hand tools and power equipment to execute roofing tasks
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Roofer or in a similar role
- Knowledge of roofing materials and techniques
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Familiarity with safety protocols and building codes
- Physical stamina and the ability to work at heights
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Certification in roofing safety procedures is a plus
