Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Saddle Stitch Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for binding books, magazines, and other printed materials using saddle stitching techniques. This role requires a keen eye for detail, proficiency in operating binding machines, and the ability to perform adjustments and troubleshooting as needed. Responsibilities
- Operate saddle stitching machines to bind printed materials efficiently and accurately.
- Set up and adjust binding and finishing machines for optimal performance and quality assurance.
- Inspect finished products for quality, ensuring they meet specifications and standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on binding equipment to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate production schedules and meet deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
- Document production processes and maintain accurate records of materials used and production output.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training preferred.
- Proven experience as a Saddle Stitch Operator or similar role in the printing industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with binding and finishing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work under pressure.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
