Job Brief
The Roustabout Crew Leader plays a critical role in supervising and coordinating the activities of construction and extraction workers in the oil and gas industry. Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of roustabouts, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational guidelines.
- Coordinate daily activities and work schedules for crew members to optimize productivity.
- Monitor equipment usage and maintenance, ensuring all tools and machinery are in safe working condition.
- Conduct training sessions for new employees on industry standards, safety procedures, and equipment operation.
- Communicate effectively with project managers and other stakeholders to report on progress and address any issues.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies throughout all operations.
- Assist in the planning and execution of construction and extraction tasks, ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Evaluate crew performance and provide feedback for professional development and safety improvements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in construction or oil and gas preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, construction practices, and equipment operation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments and adverse weather conditions.
- Proficient in basic computer skills for reporting and communication purposes.
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, or other relevant safety training are advantageous.
