Job Brief
As a Rope Machine Setter, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of machines that wind and twist various textiles, including wool, hemp, and synthetic fibers. Responsibilities
- Set up and adjust rope machines to ensure proper winding or twisting of textiles.
- Operate slubber machines and drawing frames effectively to produce high-quality slivers.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to achieve production goals.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Document production metrics and report any discrepancies to management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in textile manufacturing is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Rope Machine Setter or in a similar textile production role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with slubber machines, drawing frames, and other textile machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and production specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills for tracking production data and machine performance.
