Job Brief
We are seeking an experienced Residential Roofer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for covering roofs of residential structures with various materials, including shingles, slate, asphalt, aluminum, and wood. You will also apply spray materials for binding, sealing, insulating, or soundproofing roofs and walls. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in roofing techniques, materials, and safety practices, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Inspect roofs to determine the best materials and methods for covering.
- Install roofing systems using shingles, slate, asphalt, and other materials.
- Apply sealants and insulation materials to enhance roof durability and energy efficiency.
- Repair or replace damaged roofing materials to ensure structural integrity.
- Maintain safety standards and regulations while working at heights.
- Collaborate with team members to complete roofing projects on time and within budget.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding project progress and any necessary adjustments.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Residential Roofer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and safety practices.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Physical stamina and strength to work in various weather conditions.
- Valid roofing contractor license or certification is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
