Job Brief

As a Resident Athletic Trainer, you will play a vital role in the prevention, evaluation, and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and illnesses among athletes. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of comprehensive preventive, therapeutic, emergency, and rehabilitative care. This position requires a strong foundation in sports medicine, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with athletes, coaches, and medical professionals. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field and have relevant certification.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and assess athletic injuries to determine appropriate treatment plans.
  • Provide preventive care to reduce the risk of sports-related injuries.
  • Administer therapeutic and rehabilitative treatments in accordance with established protocols.
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide immediate care to injured athletes.
  • Educate athletes on injury prevention techniques and proper conditioning methods.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of athlete assessments and treatments.
  • Collaborate with coaches and medical staff to develop injury management strategies.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in athletic training practices and sports medicine.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Athletic Training or a related discipline.
  • Current certification from the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers.
  • Strong knowledge of injury assessment, treatment protocols, and rehabilitation techniques.
  • Proficiency in emergency response and first aid procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • Experience in a clinical or athletic training setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of current trends and techniques in sports medicine and athletic training.
