As a Reservation Agent, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless travel experiences for clients by efficiently managing reservations for transportation and lodging. Responsibilities
- Make and confirm reservations for transportation, lodging, and tour packages.
- Sell transportation tickets and provide accurate pricing information.
- Assist customers with itinerary changes and special requests.
- Check baggage and direct passengers to designated concourse, pier, or track.
- Deliver tickets and travel documents to clients in a timely manner.
- Communicate with individuals and groups to inform them about package tours and travel options.
- Provide tourists with essential travel or transportation information and recommendations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of travel regulations and industry trends.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in travel and tourism preferred.
- Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in the travel industry.
- Strong knowledge of reservation systems and software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of geography and travel routes.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.
