Job Brief
The Remotely Piloted Vehicle Engineering Technician plays a crucial role in the operation, testing, and maintenance of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), submarines, and other automated systems. This position requires a solid understanding of servomechanical and electromechanical equipment, along with the ability to monitor, adjust, and enhance vehicle performance. Responsibilities
- Operate and control remotely piloted vehicles for data collection and surveillance tasks.
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of UAVs and unmanned submarines.
- Test and evaluate new equipment and technologies to improve vehicle functionality.
- Assist engineers in the design, testing, and optimization of robotic systems.
- Document operational procedures and maintenance logs in compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project specifications and requirements.
- Ensure all operations adhere to safety regulations and best practices.
- Provide technical support and training to team members on the operation of unmanned systems.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology, Robotics, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience with unmanned systems, including UAVs and underwater vehicles.
- Strong technical skills in servomechanical systems and electromechanical equipment.
- Familiarity with programming languages and software used in vehicle operation and data analysis.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Experience with remote piloting and data collection techniques.
- Certifications in UAV operation or robotics are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
