Job Brief

The Remotely Piloted Vehicle Engineering Technician plays a crucial role in the operation, testing, and maintenance of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), submarines, and other automated systems. This position requires a solid understanding of servomechanical and electromechanical equipment, along with the ability to monitor, adjust, and enhance vehicle performance. Responsibilities

  • Operate and control remotely piloted vehicles for data collection and surveillance tasks.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of UAVs and unmanned submarines.
  • Test and evaluate new equipment and technologies to improve vehicle functionality.
  • Assist engineers in the design, testing, and optimization of robotic systems.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology, Robotics, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience with unmanned systems, including UAVs and underwater vehicles.
  • Strong technical skills in servomechanical systems and electromechanical equipment.
  • Familiarity with programming languages and software used in vehicle operation and data analysis.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Experience with remote piloting and data collection techniques.
  • Certifications in UAV operation or robotics are a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
