Job Brief
The Religious Education Director will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing comprehensive religious education programs that align with the mission of the organization. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to provide guidance on spiritual, marital, health, and financial matters. The ideal candidate will possess experience in educational program design, community outreach, and counseling, with a deep understanding of religious principles and practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee religious education programs, including curriculum design and implementation.
- Conduct outreach initiatives to promote participation in religious activities and education.
- Provide counseling and guidance to individuals and families on marital, health, financial, and spiritual issues.
- Engage with community members and stakeholders to foster a supportive environment for learning and growth.
- Lead training sessions and workshops for volunteers and educators in religious teachings and practices.
- Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of educational programs and make necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with other religious organizations and community groups to enhance educational opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of program participation and outcomes to report to leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies, Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in religious education, program development, or community outreach.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with diverse audiences.
- Ability to provide compassionate counseling and support to individuals facing various challenges.
- Familiarity with curriculum development and instructional design principles.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing volunteers or staff.
- Knowledge of local community resources and support services.
- Commitment to the values and teachings of the organization’s religious denomination.
