  • Administer fluoride treatments and topical anesthetics when necessary.
  • Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
  • Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure compliance with safety regulations in the dental office.
  • Participate in continuing education to stay updated on best practices in dental hygiene.
  • Assist in managing patient flow and scheduling appointments effectively.

Requirements

  • Valid state license to practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
  • Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proficient in dental software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Strong understanding of oral health principles and preventive care practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and infection control protocols.
  • Previous experience in a dental clinic or similar setting is highly desirable.
