Responsibilities

- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, dietary habits, and disease prevention.
- Administer fluoride treatments and topical anesthetics when necessary.
- Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
- Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure compliance with safety regulations in the dental office.
- Participate in continuing education to stay updated on best practices in dental hygiene.
- Assist in managing patient flow and scheduling appointments effectively.
Requirements
- Valid state license to practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
- Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proficient in dental software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Strong understanding of oral health principles and preventive care practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and infection control protocols.
- Previous experience in a dental clinic or similar setting is highly desirable.
