Job Brief

We are seeking a skilled Recreational Vehicle Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will diagnose, inspect, adjust, repair, and overhaul a variety of recreational vehicles, including travel trailers. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with gas, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, and chassis/towing systems, along with a strong understanding of generator, appliance, and interior component repairs. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining high-quality service standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical issues in recreational vehicles and travel trailers using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Inspect and test vehicle systems, including gas, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, and towing systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on generators, appliances, and other interior components.
  • Overhaul and repair recreational vehicle chassis and towing systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Specialize in customized van conversions as required by customer specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and time spent on each job.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet service deadlines and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair processes and provide recommendations for vehicle upkeep.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in automotive or RV repair is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Recreational Vehicle Mechanic or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of gas, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, and chassis/towing systems.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment specific to recreational vehicles.
  • Ability to perform customized van conversions and modifications as needed.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
