Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Recreational Vehicle Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will diagnose, inspect, adjust, repair, and overhaul a variety of recreational vehicles, including travel trailers. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with gas, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, and chassis/towing systems, along with a strong understanding of generator, appliance, and interior component repairs. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining high-quality service standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues in recreational vehicles and travel trailers using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Inspect and test vehicle systems, including gas, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, and towing systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on generators, appliances, and other interior components.
- Overhaul and repair recreational vehicle chassis and towing systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Specialize in customized van conversions as required by customer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and time spent on each job.
- Collaborate with team members to meet service deadlines and enhance operational efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair processes and provide recommendations for vehicle upkeep.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in automotive or RV repair is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Recreational Vehicle Mechanic or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of gas, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, and chassis/towing systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment specific to recreational vehicles.
- Ability to perform customized van conversions and modifications as needed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
