Job Brief
As a Radial Drill Operator for Plastic, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and tending to advanced drilling machines to efficiently drill, bore, ream, mill, or countersink plastic workpieces with precision. Responsibilities
- Set up radial drilling machines according to specifications and blueprints.
- Operate drilling equipment to execute drilling, boring, and milling processes on plastic components.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure optimal performance and quality of finished products.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of drilling machines to minimize downtime.
- Inspect workpieces for accuracy and adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to improve machining processes and production efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety regulations and practices.
- Document production data and machine performance for quality assurance purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Radial Drill Operator or similar role in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, particularly related to plastic materials.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and measurement tools.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot drilling machinery effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining or related field is a plus.
