As a Quarry Chop Saw Operator, you will be responsible for efficiently separating rough dimension stone from the quarry mass using advanced chop saw machinery, jackhammers, and wedges. Responsibilities
- Operate chop saws, jackhammers, and other quarry equipment to extract rough dimension stone.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure work environment.
- Inspect equipment and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal functionality.
- Measure and mark stone dimensions accurately to achieve required specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate extraction processes and minimize waste.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor production levels and report any discrepancies to supervisors.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in quarry operations or related fields is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Quarry Chop Saw Operator or similar role in the stone industry.
- Strong knowledge of quarry machinery, tools, and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor and operate heavy machinery.
- Valid forklift or heavy machinery operator certification is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
