Job Brief

  • Collaborate with public health officials, veterinarians, and researchers to develop effective disease prevention strategies.
  • Educate pet owners and communities about zoonotic diseases and responsible animal care practices.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of animal health policies and programs.
  • Provide expert consultation on animal health issues that impact human health.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school.
  • State licensure to practice veterinary medicine.
  • Experience in public health, epidemiology, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of zoonotic diseases and veterinary public health principles.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
