Job Brief
The Psychological Operations Specialist plays a critical role in the planning and execution of psychological operations (PSYOP) to influence and engage target audiences. This position requires expertise in strategic communication, information dissemination, and behavioral analysis to support military objectives. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of psychological tactics, cultural awareness, and the ability to analyze complex information. A background in military operations or related fields is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement psychological operations plans to influence target audiences effectively.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify key psychological factors affecting target demographics.
- Create high-quality PSYOP materials, including leaflets, broadcasts, and digital content.
- Collaborate with military personnel and intelligence units to synchronize operations with overall mission objectives.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of psychological operations through metrics and feedback.
- Provide training and guidance on psychological operations to military personnel.
- Engage with cultural representatives to ensure operations are contextually relevant and effective.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, communication, sociology, or a related field.
- Experience in military operations, strategic communication, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and assess psychological impacts.
- Proficiency in developing and delivering presentations and reports.
- Familiarity with media production and digital communication tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments and adapt to changing situations.
