Job Brief

As a Production Cost Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate cost estimates for product manufacturing, construction projects, or services. Responsibilities

  • Utilize cost estimation software and tools to develop comprehensive pricing models.
  • Research and apply current market prices for materials, labor, and overhead to ensure competitive bids.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through process improvements and efficiency enhancements.
  • Prepare and present cost estimation reports to management for review and approval.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, pricing strategies, and best practices in cost estimation.
  • Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for various projects and contracts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Cost Estimator or similar role in manufacturing or construction.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and project specifications.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software such as Sage Estimating, Bluebeam, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to cost estimation and project bidding.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for conveying cost estimates to stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Certification as a Cost Estimator (e.g., Certified Cost Professional or similar) is a plus.
