The Production Control Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within various departments, ensuring adherence to production schedules. Responsibilities
- Coordinate the flow of work and materials according to production schedules to meet operational targets.
- Review and distribute production, work, and shipment schedules to relevant departments.
- Confer with department supervisors to monitor progress, address production issues, and determine completion dates.
- Compile and analyze reports on work progress, inventory levels, production costs, and problem resolution.
- Implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency and quality.
- Assist in inventory management and ensure optimal stock levels are maintained.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on production goals and timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities and prepare necessary documentation for audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in production control, manufacturing, or logistics coordination.
- Strong understanding of production planning processes and inventory management systems.
- Proficiency in scheduling and production planning software (e.g., ERP systems).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration with teams.
- Ability to troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
