Job Brief
The Presidential Helicopter Crew Chief plays a pivotal role in ensuring the operational readiness and safety of aircraft during various missions, including combat, reconnaissance, transport, and search and rescue operations. This position requires extensive experience in aviation operations and technical skills to manage aircraft systems effectively. Responsibilities
- Perform in-flight duties to support combat, reconnaissance, transport, and search and rescue missions.
- Operate and maintain aircraft communications and detection equipment, including satellite linkages and enemy communication jamming systems.
- Conduct preflight, in-flight, and postflight inspections of onboard equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Manage and maintain aircraft weapons and defensive systems for mission effectiveness.
- Operate and oversee aircraft in-flight refueling systems to support extended missions.
- Execute aircraft safety protocols and emergency procedures to ensure crew and passenger safety.
- Compute and verify passenger, cargo, fuel, and emergency equipment weight and balance data for optimal performance.
- Conduct cargo and personnel drops as per mission requirements and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a helicopter crew chief or in a similar aviation role.
- Extensive knowledge of aircraft systems, including communications, detection, and defensive mechanisms.
- Certification in Aviation Safety and Emergency Procedures.
- Experience in conducting preflight, in-flight, and postflight inspections.
- Ability to operate and maintain in-flight refueling systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills for effective team collaboration and mission execution.
- Military aviation experience is highly preferred.
