Job Brief
As a Pre Kindergarten Education Intervention Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering the academic, social, and life skills of preschool-aged students with learning, emotional, or physical disabilities. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
- Create engaging and adaptive lesson plans that promote academic and social skills.
- Conduct assessments to track student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educational professionals to support student development.
- Provide targeted instruction in areas such as literacy, numeracy, and life skills.
- Utilize assistive technology and specialized resources to enhance learning experiences.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in special education.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- State certification in special education or early childhood education.
- Experience working with young children with disabilities, preferably in a classroom setting.
- Strong knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and special education laws.
- Proficient in developing lesson plans and using adaptive teaching methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to implement behavior management strategies and support emotional development.
- Familiarity with assistive technology and resources for students with disabilities.
