Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Pre Engineered Metal Building Ironworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in raising, placing, and uniting iron or steel girders, columns, and other structural members to create completed structures or frameworks. This role requires proficiency in erecting metal storage tanks and assembling prefabricated metal buildings. Responsibilities
- Raise and position steel girders, columns, and other structural components to construct metal frameworks.
- Assemble prefabricated metal buildings in accordance with project specifications and blueprints.
- Install metal storage tanks and ensure proper alignment and stability.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other ironworkers to ensure project timelines are met.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment and materials to maintain safety standards and compliance.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively and safely for assembly tasks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to minimize workplace hazards and risks.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training or apprenticeship is preferred.
- Proven experience as an ironworker, specifically with pre-engineered metal buildings.
- Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and assembly techniques.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in the construction industry.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools related to ironworking.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to work at heights safely.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
