Job Brief
The Port Captain plays a crucial role in overseeing the operations of ships and water vessels, including tugboats and ferryboats. Requirements
- Valid U.S. Coast Guard license for vessel operation.
- Proven experience in maritime operations or a related field, typically 5+ years.
- Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, safety protocols, and navigation principles.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with crew and port authorities.
- Ability to make quick decisions and solve problems under pressure.
- Familiarity with vessel maintenance and operational procedures.
- Proficient in the use of navigation software and equipment.
