Job Brief
As a Pollution Control Engineering Technician, you will apply principles of environmental engineering to support the design, testing, and operation of equipment aimed at preventing, controlling, and remediating environmental issues, including waste treatment and site remediation. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and practical experience, enabling you to collaborate effectively with engineering staff and scientists while contributing to the development of innovative environmental remediation devices.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and implementation of pollution control systems and remediation technologies.
- Conduct field tests and laboratory experiments to assess the performance of environmental remediation devices.
- Operate and maintain equipment used in waste treatment processes and environmental monitoring.
- Analyze data and prepare reports detailing findings and recommendations for pollution control measures.
- Collaborate with engineers and scientists to develop solutions for environmental challenges.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards during project execution.
- Support the documentation of project progress and contribute to project planning and execution.
- Participate in training and workshops to enhance knowledge of pollution control technologies and practices.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in pollution control, environmental monitoring, or waste management.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance standards.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis and report writing.
- Proficiency in using technical software for modeling and simulations, such as AutoCAD or GIS.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Certification in Environmental Engineering Technology (EET) or related credentials is a plus.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and equipment operation.
